Virginia's independent gubernatorial candidate, H. Russell Potts Jr., plans to call for an additional $2 billion in annual state spending to improve the road and rail network when he unveils his transportation plan tomorrow.

Despite months and months of Colonial Beach Mayor Pete Bones private negotiations with preferred Boardwalk Parcel 3 bidder Chesapeake Realty Ventures, Summer 2005 has ended with no clear prospect of a sale of the municipally owned boardwalk area property which the town put out for competitive bids earlier in the year.
